Caesar, Jensen & Peters Officially Named USTFCCCA All-Region

NEW ORLEANS – The Utah cross country trio of McKaylie Caesar, Morgan Jensen and Anna Peters were officially named USTFCCCA All-Region on Monday the association announced.

Top-25 finishers from all nine regions were recognized late Monday afternoon ahead of the NCAA Cross Country Championships this Saturday, Nov. 18, and hosted at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va., beginning at 8:20 a.m. (MT) on ESPNU.

This is the first all-region honor for Caesar, Jensen and Peters. It also marks the second-consecutive year the Women of Utah have had three all-region honorees and fifth time overall that Utah has had a trio of all-region honorees (2023, 2022, 2019, 2016, 2015).

Peters was the first Ute to cross the finish line at last week’s NCAA Mountain Regional, placing 14th-overall with a time of 19:53.0 – which was the fastest 6k time by any Ute at the regional meet since it moved to that distance in 2000.

Caesar narrowly out-leaned Jensen at the tape to finish in 18th with a mark of 20:04.6 – just .2 ahead of Jensen (19th; 20:04.8). Their times were also good for third and fourth-fastest in school history at the regionals trailing Grayson Murphy’s time of 20:04.0 back in 2017 – which was good for second-overall when the race was held in Logan, Utah.

Utah earned its fifth at-large bid to the NCAA Cross Country Championships when its name was announced at the Selection Show this past Saturday and marks the sixth time the Women of Utah have earned a berth to the championships.
