CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Luke Henseler brought the 2023 cross country season to a close at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday morning.
The Coventry, RI native crossed the finish line in 31:18.1, taking home 173rd place out of 255 of the top runners in the nation. The senior improved 22 spots from his 195th place performance at last year’s NCAA Championships. Henseler was the only Panther in action as he automatically qualified after his 5th place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on November 10th. Oklahoma State took home the team title finishing with 49 points.
“Luke has had a great season and has developed big time as a runner,” said head coach Griff Graves. “He works super hard and the consistency that he has been able to put together over the last couple years is paying off.”
