Illinois Track and Field UI Armory Meet Days Parking Information


CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The 2024 Illinois track and field season is set to begin this weekend; UI Armory meet day parking updates are now available to see head coach Petros Kyprianou‘s team in action.

Fans are encouraged to utilize available parking in the area, with various lots within a short walk of UI Armory, as well as metered spaces surrounding the facility. Parking options are outlined below including distance from UI Armory as well as how to pay (if applicable).

Due to the construction of the Gies College of Business’ new Steve S. Wymer Hall, the lot formerly used for UI Armory parking (Lot E12) is no longer available to fans or workers.

GENERAL PARKING OPTIONS

  • Lot C9 is free after 5 pm, Monday-Friday (free on weekends) and is a four-minute walk to UI Armory (0.2 miles).
  • The Art & Design Building parking lot (E18) is free after 5pm, Monday-Friday (free on weekends) and is a five-minute walk to UI Armory (0.3 miles).
  • The new Parking Structure at the corner of Fourth and Pennsylvania is available. This structure will cost $5 to park Monday-Friday, which can be paid on-site via credit card or Apple Pay. On Saturdays, fans can park at meters for $1.25/hour using the Mobile Meter app and Sundays are free of charge. It is an eight-minute walk to UI Armory (0.5 miles).
  • Education Building parking lot (E2) is free after 5 p.m. Monday-Friday (free on weekends) and is an eight-minute walk to UI Armory (0.5 miles).
  • State Farm Center northeast quadrant will be available and free on non-SFC event dates and is a 13-minute walk to Huff Hall (0.7 miles).
  • Metered parking on streets surrounding Huff Hall and the UI Armory.

    • As a general rule and precaution, patrons should check meters for rates and hours of enforcement as there are City of Champaign, City of Urbana and University meters on campus.

Fans are encouraged to confirm if a lot is metered or requires a permit prior to leaving their vehicle unattended.
