OSTRAVA (CZE): Reigning World Champion Miltiadis Tentoglou will headline the men’s long jump at the Czech Indoor Gala (WIT Gold) on Tuesday, 30 January. Meeting organizers have also announced that Tobias Montler of Sweden and home athlete Radek Juska will also compete. Tentoglou will open his indoor season here. Also announced today are the first athletes in the women’s 400m. Lieke Klaver of the Netherlands, part of the World Championship-winning women’s 4x400m relay quartet, will be joined by Czech athletes Tereza Petrzilkova and Lara Vondrova. The duo was part of the bronze medal-winning team in the mixed 4x400m relay in Budapest. Olympic mixed relay champion and former European champion Justyna Swiety-Ersetic of Poland, and Czech talent and reigning European U20 champion Lurdes Gloria Manuel will also compete.

Miltiadis won two European outdoor champs (Berlin 2018, Munich 2022, three European Indoor champs (Glasgow 2019, Torun 2021, and Istanbul 2023), plus gold in Budapest 2023 and silver in Eugene 2022 at the World Outdoor Championships. Miltiadis won a gold medal at the World Indoor Champs in 2022 in Belgrade. On top of the European and World Championships, Miltiadis Tentoglou also won gold in the Tokyo 2021.
