Chiara Sistermann named ACC Women’s Rookie of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, N.C. – Freshman Chiara Sistermann was named ACC Women’s Rookie of the Week, announced the Atlantic Coast Conference on Tuesday, Jan 16. 

Sistermann ranks eighth in the nation, among freshmen, following her performance at the Virginia Tech Invitational clearing a height of 13′ 6.25″ (4.12m). She is currently tied with her teammate Journey Gurley for second in the ACC. 

Hokies return to action in Rector Field House on Jan. 19 -20 hosting the Hokie Invitational.
