CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers completed the first day of the Bob Pollock Invitational as multiple athletes recorded new personal bests and added their names to Clemson’s all-time records. Headlining the day was senior Daniel Cope, as he set the new school record in the men’s weight after throwing 22.75m.
“Today was the greatest day,” Track and Field Director, Mark Elliot said. “Overall today was the best day we have had all season, across the board.”
Six total Tigers placed their names on Clemson’s top-10 list, while Paul Maguire and Annie Lineberger secured first-place finishes. Competition continues tomorrow, Saturday 27 starting with events starting at 9 a.m., the meet will be streamed on ACCNX.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- In the men’s weight throw, Cope set the new program record as he threw 22.75m to secure the new all-time record for Clemson in that event
- Camden Hayslett currently sits in fifth place in the men’s heptathlon after the first four events (60 meter, long jump, shot put, high jump)
- Maguire was first to cross the line in the men’s 5000 meter with a time of 15:04.90 to secure first-place
- In the 60 meter (prelims), Aleksandra Stoilova records a new personal best as she finished the event in 7.37 to qualify her for the 60 meter finals
- Lineberger earned first place in the women’s pole vault as she cleared 3.80m
- In the women’s weight, Kendra Dye threw 18.60m to move her into the No. 7 all-time spot for Clemson as she previously held the No. 10 spot
- In the women’s one mile, Grace Hanratty recorded a new personal best at 4:55.04 and Meredith Finley earned a season best of 5.04.90
- In the men’s one mile, Corentin Serbource enters Clemson’s top-10 list as he completed the event with a time of 4:03.15 which gives him the No. 5 all-time finish
- After finishing the 60 meter dash was a time of 7.31, Aleksandra Stoilova puts her name on the top-10 list as she moves into the No. 9 spot
- Ken’Naria Gadson add hers name to the top-10 list for the 400 meter dash as she finished the event in 53.69 as she now holds the No. 8 spot of all-time in that event
- D’Andre Anderson finished the men’s 400 meter with a time of 46.67 to record a new indoor personal best and secure the No. 8 slot on the top-10 list
