Forty-two USC student-athletes have earned spots on the 2023 Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll for their accomplishments in the classroom.
The group includes four Trojans who are enjoying the third Pac-12 Honor Roll distinction of their careers – Jonah Monheim (football), Nathan Weneta (football), Angeles Escobar (soccer) and Talia Grossman (soccer).
Ten Trojans have picked up their second set of fall academic honors, along with 28 first-time USC recipients being recognized by the Pac-12 for 2023. USC’s total of 42 fall honorees is up from last year’s tally of 35.
A total of 798 students who participated in the conference-sponsored sports of football, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball were recognized for the distinction.
As approved by the conference’s Faculty Athletics Representatives, any student-athlete competing in an NCAA-sponsored or emerging sport at a Pac-12 institution, regardless of league sponsorship, is also eligible for Academic Honor Roll recognition and includes 79 student-athletes from the fall sports of field hockey, triathlon and men’s water polo.
Eligible for this distinction are any student-athletes on their respective team rosters with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3. or above, and who have served at least one year in residence at the institution. True freshmen, new transfer students or student-athletes who began a new academic degree program in 2023-24 are not eligible for Pac-12 Honor Roll distinction.
