NEW ORLEANS – The Utah cross country team garnered USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) All-Academic Team accolades for the 11th-straight season with a team GPA of 3.86 while McKayle Caesar, Morgan Jensen and Anna Peters earned individual honors for the first time ever in their careers.
Utah’s cumulative team GPA of 3.68 was tops among Pac-12 programs and second-best in the entire country behind another Weber State (3.87). Head coach Kyle Kepler‘s teams have earned team all-academic honors 17 of the 19 years he’s been on the Hill.
This is the second-consecutive season Utah has had three individuals earn all-academic recognition from the USTFCCCA and marked the first time it has happened in program history.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
