Gamecocks to Host South Carolina Invite – University of South Carolina Athletics

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 1, 2024) – South Carolina Track & Field is back in action this weekend, playing host to the South Carolina Invite on Friday and Saturday at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex.

Know Before You Go
Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex does have a CLEAR BAG POLICY that will be in effect. Learn everything you need to know about the Clear Bag Policy by clicking here. There is also a WATER BOTTLE POLICY for all patrons and that is: one clear, plastic disposable water bottle is permitted. No hard, non-clear refillable bottles are allowed inside the facility.

Parking
Parking for the 2024 South Carolina Invite will vary for each day of activity. For Friday’s portion of the meet, fans can either pay to park at the metered lots around the facility or can park at the Key Road Lot where they will be shuttled to and from the facility. Overflow parking for Friday will be utilized at the Indoor Tennis Lot. For Friday’s parking map, click here.

Saturday, fans are encouraged to park in the Roost Parking Lot where it will be free and will be first come, first serve. Following the Roost Lot, fans may park in the metered parking surrounding the facility or can pay $10 per car to park in the Athletics Village Parking Garage. The Indoor Tennis Lot will also serve as overflow on Saturday. Note, there will NOT BE A SHUTTLE on Saturday. For Saturday’s parking map, click here.

Ticket Information
There is a $10 fee for any adults wishing to attend the meet. Children that are 17 and under gain entry for $5, while kids 2 and under are free. Students/faculty/staff get in free with their valid Carolina Card identification.

Meet Information
The South Carolina Invite will be a two-day weekend but will operate as two separate meets. Friday’s portion of the meet will be called the South Carolina Garnet Invite and will feature various teams from the region. Saturday’s event will be the South Carolina Invite and will run as the premier day, featuring South Carolina student-athletes. Both days of competition are slated to begin around 10 a.m. with doors opening at 9 a.m. for patrons. Friday’s portion of the weekend will tentatively conclude with the women’s 4x400m relay at 5:55 p.m., while Saturday will conclude at 5:35 p.m. with the invite section of the women’s 4x400m…
