BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Clemson Tigers wrapped up the final day of the Doc Hale VT Meet as multiple athletes recorded new personal bests and earned their best times and marks of the season.
“We accomplished what we needed to get done,” Track and Field Program Director Mark Elliot said. “We have some solid performances and more ACC qualifiers.”
The Tigers are close to completing the indoor regular season as the Doc Hale meet is one of the last road competitions Clemson will participate in before the ACC Championship towards the end of February. Up next, the Tigers will head home as they are set to host the Tiger Paw Invitational, which will mark their biggest meet of the season. Events will start on Friday, Feb. 9 and will wrap up on Saturday, Feb. 10.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Courtney Lawrence earned first-place in the men’s shot put after he threw 18.86m
- Two Tigers earned new personal bests in the men’s 800 meter as Blake Santos (1:55.09) and Daniel Sullivan (1:55.26) recorded the best finishes of their careers, while Braden Blakely (1:56.82) recorded his best time of the season in the event.
- In the women’s triple jump, Shantae Foreman finished with a score of 12.85m to secure second-place in the event
- In the women’s high jump, Jessica Johnson recorded her best mark of the season as she cleared 1.67m to secure a new season best
- Mackenzie Steele recorded a new personal best in the women’s one mile as she completed the event 5:08.71
