It was a busy weekend of action in track and field with top Scots in action in various locations.

We’re always excited to project and promote performances and a few of the highlights are listed here below . . .

Jake Wightman made his comeback after a long spell of injury absence as he took on his first race for a year at the Boston Indoor event.

Jake finished second in the 1500m with a run of 3:34.06 that was a new indoor PB.

Nicole Yeargin was in action at the same meet and clocked 54.29 for 400m.

At that same meet in Boston, Corey Campbell posted a new Scottish Indoor Record at U20 for 1500m.

The Team East Lothian athlete actually raced over a mile indoors and clocked 4:04.10. But within that run, Corey’s split for 1500m was at 3:46.13 and that’s top of the all-time rankings for U20 indoors over 1500m.

Samantha Kinghorn is no stranger to the Record books in Para athletics and has started 2024 in familiar style.

Samantha was competing at Sharajh Open Meeting and set a new British Record for the T53 800m – as she posted 1:41.50,

Well done to our 2023 4J Para Athlete of the Year and coach Rodger Harkins.

Jemma Reekie raced for the first time this year at an indoor event in Metz in France. Jemma took second place in her 800m race with a run of 1:59.42.

Guy Learmonth won his 800m event in Germany with a time of 1:46.80 as he too prepares for the British Indoor Champs.
