Panthers Split for Meets at Boston University and Clemson


PITTSBURGH – The Pitt track and field team will be splitting up this weekend to participate in two separate meets. The distance group will be heading to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University, while the remainder of the team will travel south for the Clemson Tiger Paw Invite.

DAVID HEMERY VALENTINE INVITATIONAL

Up in Boston, the women’s distance squad will kick off competition on Friday at 9 a.m. with Winnie Incorvaia and Caroline Rusinski in the 5000m. The men distance group and the women’s DMR are set to compete on Saturday.

CLEMSON TIGER PAW INVITE

Down south in the Palmetto state, field events begin at 11 a.m. on Friday with the men’s weight throw. Track events start at 12 p.m. with the preliminary heats of the women’s 60m hurdles. Saturday’s field events will commence with the women’s shot put trials and finals at 10 a.m. Track events will follow shortly thereafter.
