BOSTON – The Wisconsin women’s track and field team kicked off competition at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday as a duo of Badgers competed on opening day.
Graduate student Olivia Roberts and redshirt senior Chloe Lindeman competed alongside one another in the weight throw, both earning top-ten finishes. Roberts collected first-team All-American accolades with a seventh-place finish, while Lindeman earned second-team All-American honors with a ninth-place finish.
Roberts was an early leader in the event, sitting fourth after three throws with a distance of 71 1/2 (21.65m). She improved her distance in the fifth round of the event, throwing for 71-2 ¾ (21.71m). This is the first time Roberts has won First-Team All-American honors.
Lindeman had her best throw in the third round of the event, throwing for a distance of 70-7 1/4 (21.52m).

The NCAA Indoor Championships will resume tomorrow afternoon. Kiley Robbins will compete in the 60-meter dash semifinal race at 6:18 p.m. Robbins will enter the event ranked 14th with a personal best time of 7.22 seconds.
