KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee track & field program kicks off the 2024 outdoor season this weekend in Orlando, Florida, at the UCF Black and Gold Invitational. Forty-three UT athletes are set to compete during the two-day competition, running Friday and Saturday, March 15-16 at the UCF Track and Field Complex.

Cade Gray and Evan Puckett will compete in the men’s pole vault on Friday, while Kiland Harrison (100m, 200m) and James Rivera (400m) are entered to represent the UT sprint group at UCF.
Nineteen athletes will also make their Tennessee outdoor track & field debuts after representing the Big Orange during the 2023-24 indoor season.
UP NEXT: UT will go through a training cycle next week before gearing up for a pair of meets the following weekend. A caravan of distance runners will head to NC State for the Raleigh Relays, March 28-30, while UT’s sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, throwers and pole vaulters will travel to LSU for the Battle on the Bayou, March 29-30.
