SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah track & field team is headed to San Diego this weekend to kick off its outdoor season at the 45th Annual Aztec Invitational (March 21-23) on the SDSU Sports Deck.

FROM THE START LINE
The Women of Utah head to the Aztec Invitational for the second-straight year and slated to have 23 competitors racing on the SDSU Sports Deck to kick off their outdoor season. Of the 23, seven will compete in their first-ever outdoor race – six of which are true freshmen.
 
The first day of competition in San Diego will not be live streamed on Thursday, but both Friday and Saturday will be streamed on RunnerSpace+ with a paid subscription.
 
VAN ONSELEN HEADED TO SERBIA
Former Utah distance runner Lisha van Onselen will have the honor of representing her home country of South African next weekend at the 2024 World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. The Cape Town native will compete with the senior women’s national team in the 10k at Park of Friendship alongside the Danube. Park of Friendship was site of the 2013 European Championships.
 
UP NEXT
The Utes will have a busy weekend up ahead with the team splitting up to compete at three different meets between the Texas Relays (March 28-30), Stanford Invitational (March 29-30) and UVU Collegiate Invitational (March 29) nearby. The large group of the sprinters will be at the Texas Relays while the distance group will have a contingent competing on the Farm with a handful staying local to compete in…
