Also on Saturday, three women’s pole vaulters will compete at the Texas Relays in Austin, including indoor national champion Hana Moll.
Washington capped a stellar indoor season with a 10th-place men’s finish and 17th-place women’s finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston on March 9. Moll became the first freshman ever to win the women’s pole vault title, and Luke Houser defended his mile championships, becoming the 10th man to go back-to-back. The Huskies had seven athletes make the podium to earn First Team All-America honors.
Now UW switches gears and starts the road to Eugene, where the NCAA Outdoor Championships will take place on June 5-8.
Six of the seven First Team All-Americans indoors will be in action this weekend. Moll will vault in Texas, while Houser will get work in as a pace setter in the 5k at Stanford. Joe Waskom is opening with a steeplechase. Jayden White switches from the weight to the hammer. Wilma Nielsen is slated to double in both the 1,500m and the 800m, and Bruno Comin Pescador will do the 110m hurdles and shot put. Long jump scorer Prestin Artis is the one indoor scorer who will wait to open up his outdoor season.

Friday is heavy on distance events, with the 1500-meters, 5000-meters, 10000-meters, and 3000-meter steeplechase. Sprint events include the 200-meters, 400-meter hurdles, and prelims of the 100-meter dash and 110m hurdles. Field events on Friday that feature Huskies include the men’s high jump, women’s pole vault, men’s discus, and men’s javelin.
Saturday at Stanford includes the 4×1 and 4×4 relays as well as the 800-meters, and finals in the 100m and 110m hurdles. Field events featuring Huskies on Saturday are the men’s pole vault, men’s and women’s…
