Track Central: 2024 Tennessee Invite


KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee track & field’s annual home meet returns to Rocky Top this weekend as UT will play host to 25 collegiate programs for the 2024 Tennessee Invite. Competition runs Friday and Saturday, April 5-6, at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium.
 
Admission is free for all spectators, and spectator parking will be available in the G17 Lake Avenue Garage on Friday and the G16 Volunteer Boulevard Garage on Saturday. Fans are encouraged to view the parking map and visit UTSports.com/TennInvite for more information on the meet.
 
FOLLOW LIVE: Live results from the Tennessee Relays will be provided by AdkinsTrak Timing Associates throughout the meet. Friday and Saturday’s action will be streamed online via SEC Network+, available with TV provider login at espn.com/watch or the ESPN app.
 
MEET SCHEDULE: The 2024 Tennessee Invite will begin Friday morning at 9 a.m. with the women’s hammer throw. Running events start at 5 p.m. Friday evening with the women’s 1,500-meter and conclude at approximately 7:40 p.m. with the men’s 5k.
 
Saturday’s action kicks off again at 9 a.m. with the men’s hammer, and the home meet will conclude with the men’s 4×400-meter relay at approximately 4:45 p.m. The full meet schedule can be viewed at the link above.
 
WHO’S COMPETING: The Vols and Lady Vols will have 61 entries this week. Other collegiate programs represented at the meet include Alabama A&M, Austin Peay, Ball State, Bowling Green, Carson-Newman, Central Michigan, Chicago State, Dayton, Denison, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana State, Kent State, Marian (Ind.), Milligan, MTSU, Purdue Fort Wayne, SE Missouri, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Truett-McConnell, UNC Asheville, Virginia Tech, Western Carolina and Xavier.

SENIOR RECOGNITIONS: Tennessee track & field will honor 25 senior student-athletes Saturday afternoon and two student managers at 3:10 p.m. at Tom Black Track: Yaseen Abdalla, Carolyn Barksdale, Brett Brady, Emmanuel Bynum, Jette Davidson, Brooke Dixon, Clement Ducos, Rasheeme Griffith, Ja’Kwan Hale, Javonte’ Harding, Kameron Helmlinger, Nate Kawalec, Jacob Lewis, Joella Lloyd, Sam McLendon, DaJour Miles, Eli Nahom, Brandon Olden, Dennisha Page, Kyla Robinson-Hubbard, Jada Seaman, Jacious Sears, Maia Stewart, Kayla Sweeney, Mikele Vickers, Mike Griffin and Elliot Barner.
