The Terps Close Out DMV Meets


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA & BALTIMORE, MD – The Terps closed out their double meets this week with many of them earning new personal and season highs. Matt De Haas and Kevin Collins are just a few to break their own records. 

Matt De Haas finished first in the men’s 800m today with a personal best time of 1:50.17. 

Kevin Collins ran in the men’s 200m and finished tenth with a time of 21.08 which is now his season best and good for eighth all time.

Other Highlights:

  • Max Worley competed in the men’s 800m and clocked in a new personal best time of 1:52.02. 
  • Anna Coffin ran her personal best in the 800m at 2:10.42 and finished fifth overall. Emma Pegg also competed in the women’s 800m. Pegg ran a 2:12.37 finishing eleventh overall.
  • Justin Ofotan and Tanner Leach also earned their season best times in the men’s 200m. Ofotan ran a 21.49 and Leach ran a 21.72. Sam Ford competed in the men’s 200m and ran a 21.57.
  • Jayla Bynum and Kayla Thorpe competed in the women’s shot put. Bynum threw 14.98m which is her season best and finished fifth. Meanwhile, Thorpe threw 14.49m which is now her personal best.
  • Andrew Harmon competed in the men’s hammer throw and threw 58.24m on his third attempt. Harmon finished tenth overall.
  • In the Women’s 200m, Armanie Coleman recorded a time of 24.16, Sam Payne ran 24.77, and Jewel Ofotan ran 25.65.
  • Jeff Kline and Rhys Allen competed in the shot put. Kline threw 18.31m and placed fourth overall. Allen threw 16.55m. 
  • Jennessa Wolfe competed in the high jump. Wolfe landed a 1.67m. 
  • AnnaMarie Tretola and Katie Ericson ran in the women’s 5000m at Hopkins.  Ericson ran her season best at 18:53.35. Tretola ran her personal best at 18:28.25.
