Jemma Reekie took to the track in Doha s she opened her outdoor season after silver at the World Indoors in Glasgow a couple of months ago.
And Jemma followed World champion Mary Moraa home with half a second between them as the Scot clocked 1:58.42.
‘It was a good performance; I made a mistake, it is a lesson but I will learn from this mistake,’ said Jemma.
‘I held my position in the last 300m.
‘It was really great coming to Doha for the Seashore DL, I had never done it before. Everybody was very welcoming, so it has been a really good experience.
‘My next competition will be in Poland.’
