Xavier boys repeated as SCC champions and won their third title in four years. The defeated Daniel Hand, who hasn’t been lower than 3rd place in the past four years, by a score of 112-94.
One of the Falcons highlights was hurdler Sam Forte who won the 110HH and took second in the 300IH. In the fastest 300IH of the season, Forte still ran his 2nd fastest lifetime best of 38.25 to add eight points to his team’s total with Gutierrez coming out on top in 38.22.
Of course the distance events added their usual dominating performances for the Falcons. The pair returned to finish 1st and 4th in the 3200m with Ouellette claiming his second win with a time of 9:38.19.

Daniel Hand’s Kyle Hoffman won by a half a second in a time of 48.06 with Lyman Hall’s Michael Fisher right behind in 48.60. Both broke the 13 year old meet record. The New England performance list this season is led by Windsor’s Maxim Copeland’s 47.15 and the SCC pair are currently ranked 4th and 5th in the region.
When you have a low 48 second leg, it certainly makes it easier to run a fast 4 x 400m. But you can’t do it with only one good runner. John Daniels, Nathaniel Kraft and Aedan Virgulto joined Hoffman to run 3:20.09, a Daniel Hand school and meet record. The foursome will have their work…
