Olympic record for Cheptegei in the 10,000m final (26:43.14), improving Kenenisa Bekele’s 27:01.17 from Beijing 2008. It took 52 years since Viren broke 28 minutes  at Olympics until Cheptegei broke 27 minutes here.

World record for USA in the mixed 4x400m relay heats (3:07.41), with Norwood (44.47), Little (49.32), Deadmon (44.17) and Brown (49.45). Can they go faster in finals and will the composition be the same?
