Nine Track and Field Athletes Graduate at this Weekend's Ceremonies


Two Graduates were on Florida’s National Championship rosters over the last three years.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Among the 3,000 who earn their University of Florida degrees this weekend are more than 30 Gator student-athletes, including nine members of Florida’s Track and Field program.

Summer commencement ceremonies begin Friday, Aug. 9 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 10.

Jevaughn Powell is set to graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Education Sciences, just days after competing in Paris at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Powell and Jacob Miley were members of Florida’s recent NCAA Outdoor Championship rosters, with Miley a part of the 2022 and 2023 teams, and Powell contributing to the 2023 and 2024 titles. Both are also NCAA Individual Champions in the 4x400m relay, earning All-American Honors for their efforts.

Jayla Hollis (Health Education Behavior) and Ryan Miller (Aerospace Engineering) are set to graduate Cum Laude.
