The Gators return to the UCF Invite field for the first time since 2022, when both the men and women took home first.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams will open the 2024 regular season slate in Orlando, Fla. at the UCF Invitational on Friday, August 30. The Gators will send 11 women and nine men to the regular season opener.
The Gators last participated in the UCF Invitational in 2022, when the Gators opened that season with two first place team finishes.
This year’s edition will be the first of four regular season meets for the Gators, as they prepare to defend their SEC Title, and earn another shot at the National Title in the postseason.
The Women’s D1 5k race will begin at 6:15 p.m., followed by the Men’s D1 5k race at 6:45 p.m. Live results from Friday’s events can be found at this link.
Participating Gators
Nine Men and 11 Women will take to the starting line on Friday evening.
11 Gators, six women and five men, will participate in their first collegiate races at the UCF Invitational. Four true freshmen are slated to participate, all for the women’s team.
