Schutz Earns Big Ten Athlete of the Week Recognition – University of Nebraska

Nebraska sophomore Berlyn Schutz was named the Big Ten Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Schutz claimed the individual women’s title at the Augustana Twilight on Friday, Sept. 6. She ran a 5k time of 16:20.78, the best of her career, and helped the Husker women to their second-straight Augustana Twilight team title.
This is the third Big Ten weekly award of Schutz’ career.
The Big Red will continue its season with the 34th annual Greeno/Dirksen Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21. The meet will start at 10 a.m. (CT) at the Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb.
