The 2024 Cross Country season is here!
It is time to race!
560,000 boys and girls in high school are running cross country this fall.
After six weeks of the season (for some, eight weeks), racing is coming along well.
How are you doing?
A tip on finishing cross-country races.
As I got fitter, I focused on a strong finish over the last 800 meters, increasing the speed each 200 meters.
It is something that you can practice.
My suggestion? A 4-6 times 800m, where you increase pace each half lap or 200 meters!

Wednesday, Week 5, Day 3, October 16, 2024
Warm-up well,
50-65 minutes of moderate running, 6 x 150 meter stride-outs,
Cooldown well, and remember to hydrate.
Check your shoes and make sure that your training shoes
are ready for 12-18 more weeks of training.
If not, go to a local running store and find one or two pairs of good training shoes.
We will speak about that soon!
