Five Scottish Para athletes have been offered support by UK Athletics – via membership of the Paralympic World Class Programme for 2024/25.
The Paralympic WCP is UK Sport’s National Lottery funded initiative supporting the delivery of success at the Paralympic Games and other major Championships.
The Paralympic WCP features 35 athletes in total and is split into several levels reflecting the actual and future performance potential of athletes: Podium, Podium Potential, and Confirmation.
Athletes are nominated for the WCP if it is judged they have the realistic and demonstrable performance capability to win medals at the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games or towards 2032.
