Now the first freshman in team history to earn AA honors, Chepkoech was the first Sun Devil to reach the NCAA Championships since Shelby Houlihan in 2014. Houlihan placed 31st in her first trip to the national championships before finishing in the top-10 in her final two, a promising sign for the continued development of the rookie sensation Chepkoech.
