Scarborough athlete clocks 73:13 at the Ferriby 10 road race last weekend

While Rob Payne won overall in 51:45, there was a British Masters W70 best ever time set by Scarborough’s Sue Haslam, of 73:13, a time 54 seconds quicker than Yuko Gordon’s two-year-old previous best.

Dom James just ducked under the 50-minute barrier, as his Western Tempo club dominated with the first five home.
His club were conspicuous by their absence from the previous day’s Midland cross-country championship at Mallory Park but here James posted 49:56 to narrowly get the better of Dylan Gillett’s 50-minute dead.
These two were well clear of third placed team mate Charlie Jones.
