USC’s Johnnie Blockburger was named Big Ten Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and JC Stevenson was selected the conference’s Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week today (Feb. 12)

The Trojan graduate student Blockburger won both the 200m and 400m races at the Collegiate Classic from Feb. 7-8.  He won the 200m on Feb. 7 with a personal-best, NCAA-leading and world-leading time of 20.34.  He moved into a second-place tie on USC’s all-time indoor 200m list.

Blockburger won the 400m race the next day with a PR of 45.45 which ranks third on USC’s all-time indoor list, tied for third on the 2025 NCAA list and fifth on the current world indoor list.  Blockburger also anchored USC’s winning 4x400m relay which ran 3:03.57, fourth on USC’s all-time indoor list and third among college teams this season.

The junior Stevenson won the long jump at the Collegiate Classic on Feb. 7 with a PR and NCAA-leading jump of 26-9.75 (8.17m).  Stevenson moved into third on USC’s all-time indoor long jump list.  He also ranks tied for sixth on the world indoor list.

Stevenson earned his second Big Ten weekly honor, as he was named the Big Ten Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Jan. 29.  That week Stevenson tied the USC 60m dash record with a time of 6.50, still the NCAA leading time and the 11th-fastest performer in collegiate history.

The Trojans will next be in action at the Tiger Paw Invitational hosted by Clemson in Clemson, S.C. on Feb. 14-15 and at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. on Feb. 15.
