Women’s Mile: 3:15 p.m.
SEATTLE – Coming off one of the most memorable weekends in Husky track & field history, UW has just a select group of three women prepping for action this weekend. The remainder of the Dawgs will be resting up for their first time competing at the Big Ten Indoor Championships in one more week’s time.
On Friday, Mia Cochran, Chloe Foerster, and Amina Maatoug will all be racing the mile at the BU Terrier Last Chance Meet at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston. The three will be aiming to move up the NCAA rankings and earn the opportunity to race the even at indoor nationals.
The women’s mile race will be at 3:15 p.m. Pacific time on Friday and be streamed live on Flotrack.
Cochran and Maatoug have already set PRs in their first seasons as Huskies this year, while Foerster was less than a second off her School Record time in her first mile this season. Maatoug currently ranks 14th nationally with her time of 4:28.39, Foerster is 17th at 4:28.90, and Cochran is 39th at 4:33.52. The top-16 women who declare in the event will make the NCAA field.
