Thirteen Track & Field Medalists Collect Indoor All-SEC Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference office announced Tuesday afternoon that 13 members of the Tennessee track & field program received all-conference honors after their respective performances last week at the 2025 SEC Indoor Championships.

Individual and relay conference champions were named first team All-SEC recipients, while silver medalists and bronze medalists earned second- and third-team honors, respectively.

Tennessee had two newcomers collect first team All-SEC accolades after their title-winning performances at the indoor conference meet. Blake Sifferlin claimed the men’s pole vault crown in his SEC Championship debut with a lifetime-best clearance of 5.50m (18-0.5), while Myreanna Bebe took home gold in the women’s 60-meter hurdles with an NCAA leading time of 7.95 seconds.

A pair of Lady Vol seniors earned second team All-SEC recognition with their second-place finishes on Saturday at the SEC Indoor Championships. Layla Anderson was runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles final with a personal-best mark of 7.98 seconds, while Sarah Schmitt secured silver for the second year in a row in the pole vault after jumping a personal-best and school record 4.46m (14-7.5).

Senior captain Evan Puckett won bronze in the men’s pole vault to receive third team All-SEC status, giving the Vols multiple pole vault medalists at the same conference meet for the first time since 2009. The Gallatin native tied for third with a leap of 5.35m (17-6.5).

The Big Orange rounded out the SEC Indoor Championships with two third-place finishes in the men’s and women’s 4×400-meter relays. Andrew Brown, Harry Barton, Rickey Williams III and Jevon Williams posted a season-best time of 3:05.16 to earn bronze on the men’s side, while the women’s quartet of Brianna White, Esther Joseph, Cydney Wright and Javonya Valcourt also placed third with their time of 3:27.85. All eight athletes were recognized by the league office as third team All-SEC recipients.
