Cougars Open Outdoor Season With Two Victories at Buc Scoring Invite


SPOKANE, Wash. — Baylee Wroble and Mason Andulajevic took home the first victories of the 2025 WSU outdoor track and field season, winning the javelin and hammer, respectively, Thursday at Whitworth University. Additionally, five Cougar athletes also set personal bests during the first day of the outdoor season.
 
Wroble, a freshman, won the javelin event with a throw of 46.23 meters, winning the first event of her collegiate career.
 
Andulajevic set a personal best with a throw of 57.46 meters in winning the hammer event. It wasn’t until his final attempt in which he achieved the winning mark, his first five throws reaching a best of 56.91 meters. This is his first win of his collegiate career at WSU. Tristian Webb (48.40m) and Henry Sheldrup (47.95m) both set personal-best throws as well.
 
Sabrina Colbert set a personal best in the Women’s 5000 meter race with a time of 18 minutes, 26.76 seconds, the only track runner of the day.

The Cougs will continue their weekend at the Buc Scoring Invite and Aztec Invitational, with more athletes competing tomorrow.
