Cougs Head to Austin for Texas Relays


AUSTIN, Texas — Cougar Track and Field will continue their successful start to their outdoor season at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas from March 26-29. Heptathlon and Decathlon athletes will participate in their events Wednesday and Thursday, with the rest of the athletes competing mostly on Friday and Saturday.

Last Time Out – Aztec Invitational/ Buc Scoring Invite (March 20-22)

Cougar athletes captured 14 wins in their opening weekend at the Aztec Invitational and Buc Scoring Invite. Brooke Lyons and Tatum Moku set outdoor program records in the 100-meter race and pole vault, respectively. Parker Duskin won the Men’s 110-meter hurdles to get back to his winning ways with a personal best time of 13.85 seconds. In the Men’s 1500 meter race, Evans Kurui brought back his winning ways, finishing first with a personal best time of 3:46.17. In the Women’s 3000m steeplechase, Caroline Jepkorir won her first event of the outdoor season with a personal best time of 10:16.68. Freshman Baylee Wroble won her first event of her collegiate career with a javelin throw distance of 46.23 meters.

Washington State will send split squads to between Stanford and Spokane for the Stanford Invitational and Whitworth Peace Meet.
