NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Four Commodores won their events on Day 1 of the Georgia Tech Invitational, six registered marks ranking in the program all-time top 10.

Santana Spearman for the day started with a win and a PR in the 100-meter hurdles. She turned in a time of 13.29 seconds, moving to second all-time at Vanderbilt.

In the shot put, Sarah Marvin recorded a season best 15-meter throw, finishing second among collegians and third overall.

Brady Bliven clocked 3:45.07 in the 1,500 meters, ranked second in school history, to place sixth in the event.

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Ellie Wolski also notched an event win, recording a time of 10:35.66, which is the fourth best mark in program history.

Five Dores placed in the top 10 in the women’s 5,000 meters, led by freshman Lily Kriegel, who won the event with a time of 16:40.34. Ella Lambert, Cameron Fawcett and Claire Petersen finished third, fourth and fifth with respective times of 16:51.60, 17:05.50 and 17:05.51. Gigi Clifford came in sixth place with a time of 17:07.34

The Vanderbilt men added four marks to the program’s top-10 list in the 5,000 meters. Michael Skora clocked 14:25.85, winning the event and moving to second all-time at Vandy. Dylan Ballard recorded a time of 14:47.80, the No. 6 time in program history, to place ninth.  David Song placed 11th with the seventh best time in school history, 14:49.34. Mitchel Drees earned a 12th-place finish with a time of 14:50.30, which is ninth all-time at Vanderbilt.

To end the night at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Julia Rosenberg placed 26th in the invite division of the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:20.40.

The Georgia Tech Invitational continues Saturday at 10:30 a.m. CT with the triple jump and discus. Falon Spearman competes in the 100-meter hurdles at Mt. SAC Relays Saturday at 1:20 p.m. For all live results and streaming links, fans can visit the track & field schedule page.
