AZUSA, Calif. & WALNUT, Calif. – Arizona Track & Field completed the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday.
The team competed at both the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational, which concluded on Friday, this week. Both competitions featured some of the top teams and athletes in the nation. After posting four top three finishes on Friday at Mt. SAC, the team added seven more top three finishes on Saturday.
Zach Landa highlighted the day for the Wildcats, winning the men’s elite shot put with a massive personal best throw that ranks third all-time in school history and is currently second in the NCAA. Additionally, Michael Ogbeiwi won the men’s collegiate hammer throw.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
Zach Landa won the men’s elite shot put with a massive personal best throw of 67-8.75 (20.64m). That mark is third all-time in school history and is currently second in the NCAA. Landa had not thrown further than 20m in the event but did it twice on Saturday with throws of 20.15m and 20.64m, which came on back-to-back attempts. Additionally, Tyler Michelini finished third overall in the event with an outdoor personal best throw of 61-3.5 (18.68m) and Sam Hala’ufia placed fifth with a personal best mark of 59-11.25 (18.27m).
Paris Mikinski tied for second overall in the women’s elite high jump, clearing an outdoor personal best height of 6-0.75 (1.85m). This is the second consecutive competition that Mikinski has posted an outdoor personal best mark and top two finish at.
