SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Members of the Notre Dame track and field team competed in both the Wake Forest Invitational in North Carolina and the Bryan Clay Invitational, which was hosted by Azusa Pacific University in California.
Bryan Clay Invitational
CJ Singleton placed 30th with a time of 8:55.15 in the 3,000m steeplechase at Azusa Pacific. Mary Bonner Dalton, Arianne Olson, and Amaya Aramini all finished in the top six of the 10,000m race at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Dalton took third with a time of 33:41.97. Olson and Aramini were back-to-back finishers in fifth and sixth with efforts of 33:46.24 and 34:02.10, respectively.
Wake Forest Invitational
Siona Chisholm led the efforts at Wake Forest by capturing first place by a ten-second margin in the 5,000m race with a 15:33.93. Sophie Novak competed unattached in the 3,000m steeplechase race and took second with a time of 9:27.97. Gabby Grattan was second in the high jump with a 1.66m performance on Friday, and Addison Berry competed unattached in the long jump and took second with a 5.88m effort. Maya Collins placed second in the 200m race with a time of 23.85 for the Irish.
On the men’s side, the 4x400m relay of Jack Ahart, Dimitri Nicholson, William Doyle, Jason Marchese took first place with a time of 3:09.65. Nicholson added a third-place finish in the 100m with a 10.56. Jack Henzke competed unattached in the 3,000m race and placed fourth in a time of 9:03.79.
The Irish are back in action next weekend at the Penn Relays and the Drake Relays.
