Arizona Travels to College Station for NCAA West First Round


TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track and Field travels to College Station, Texas, for the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West Region First Round, which opens on Wednesday, May 28, hosted by Texas A&M.

NCAA First Round Outdoor Championships include two competitions, one in the West region and one in the East, and feature the top 48 athletes in each event and the top 24 relay teams. The top 12 regional finishers will punch their ticket to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 11-14. The action begins at 8 a.m. MST on Wednesday, May 28, with the men’s hammer first round, and the event ends on Saturday, May 3,1, with the women’s 4×400 Relay at 6:45 p.m. MST.

Each day of competition alternates between men’s and women’s events, with the men competing on Wednesday and Friday and the women competing on Thursday and Saturday. Wednesday and Thursday have identical schedules with the field events starting at 8:00 a.m. MST and track events beginning at 4:00 p.m. MST. Friday and Saturday have identical schedules with field events beginning at 11:00 a.m. MST and track events starting at 3:00 p.m. MST.
