JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Michael Danzi and CJ Singleton both punched their tickets to the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with strong performances on day three of the NCAA East Region competition.
Danzi turned in a time of 3:41.02 to finish seventh overall to take the final qualifier for the 1,500m race. Daelen Ackley posted a 3:47.86 to take 23rd overall in the 1,500m.
In the very next event, CJ Singleton had a season-best time of 8:36.51 in the 3,000m steeplechase to earn a spot in the NCAA Championships in two weeks while finishing sixth overall. Cameron Todd had a time of 9:06.15 to place 33rd.
Drew Griffith led the Irish efforts in the 5,000m race with a 33rd place finish in a time of 14:36.47 while Ethan Coleman was 35th in 14:42.46.
Competition on day four of the East Region starts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the University of North Florida.
