Kip Keino Classic Ulinzi Sports Complex, Langata, Nairobi (KEN), 31 May 2025

The Kip Keino Classic was a hit from its very first year! That year, the President of Kenya opened all the seats, for free and sixty thousand fans over ran the stadium!

The competitions were exciting against this year, with Aussie Lachlan Kennedy winning the 100m over new SA U20 record holder Bayanda Walaza and Kenyan star, Ferdinand Omanyala. In the 200m, Joseph Fahnbulleh of Liberia took the win and Zekithi NENE of South Africa ran 43.76. USA’s Jonah Koech, one week after his PB by seven second win in Rabat, comes to Nairobi and PBs in the 800m in 1:43.32! Big wins by Canadians Ethan Katzenberg and Camryn Rogers in the hammer throw and  a new Kenyan javelin record got the field excited!
