300m hurdles clash, 5000m WR attempt, Alfred’s 100m debut, and … Mondo
OSLO (NOR): Olympic 400m hurdles podium rematch over 300m hurdles (with a world best attack), announced men’s 5000m WR attempt, Julien Alfred’s first 100m of the season and, of course, Mondo Duplantis will highlight the main program of the Bislett Games, another Wanda Diamond League event of the season at the legendary Bislett stadium in Oslo. Women’s 3000m steeplechase, triple jump and javelin throw also promise excellent performances and interesting duels.

Women
100m (Diamond+): First Diamond League appearance of the year for Olympic champion Julien Alfred. The line-up also includes her training partner Dina Asher-Smith and Marie-Josee Ta Lou-Smith who holds the meeting record at 10.75, Zaynab Dosso opening the summer season.
400m (D+): Interesting field includes indoor breakthrough performer Isabelle Whittaker who clocked 49.24 and makes her Diamond League debut. European outdoor and indoor champions Natalia Bukowiecka and Lieke Klaver also compete while Rhasidat Adeleke and Andrea Jæger make their season’s debut. World indoor champion Amber Anning is also in the line-up.
3000m steeple: Can Faith Cherotich defeat Olympic champion Winfred Yavi for the second time this summer? And do they make a sub-9:00 time?
400m hurdles: A line-up features former world record-holder Dalilah Muhammad, targeting her first DL title since 2018, along with Gotzis Hypo-Meeting winner Anna Hall who has a 54.42 PB. Shiann Salmon with the highest ranking, and Ayomide Folorunso second in Rome DL.

Triple jump: Olympic champion Thea Lafond faces world leader and world indoor champion Leyanis Pérez Hernández, and Shanieka Ricketts for her third DL title of the season with World Rankings top 7 competing; outdoor WL should be attacked.
Javelin throw: Elina Tzengko will be looking to maintain her unbeaten streak but faces strong opposition from world and Olympic champion Haruka Kitaguchi and world leader Adriana Vilagoš.
