Success on the hills (our 2024 Snowdon report)
Scotland are heading for international action on the hills at the Snowdon International Race.
It is the 50th edition of the well-known event and takes place on Saturday 19 July this year.
Runners take on a course of 15.4k with 994m of ascent and descent.
We are delighted to now name our eight selected athletes to represent Scotland in Wales.
For half of the team, these are first Scotland vest honours – Dan, Harry, Ellen and Kirsty. And it is first Senior vests for Harris and Angus.
Scotland Men:
Dan Dry (Shettleston Harriers); Harris Pagett (Strathearn Harriers); Harry Pulham (Shettleston Harriers); Angus Wright (Edinburgh Uni Hares and Hounds)
Scotland Women:
Ellen Downs (Westerlands); Naomi Lang (Carnethy HRC); Catriona MacDonald (Bellahouston Road Runners); Kirsty Oldham (Edinburgh Uni Hares and Hounds)
Many congratulations to all those selected and to their coaches, families and clubs, too, as they prepare to represent Scotland in Wales.
