Cal’s Academic All-District honorees include three throwers, more than any other event group.

5 Advance To Academic All-America Consideration

Five men and five women from the 2024-25 California track & field and cross country teams were announced Tuesday as Academic All-District honorees for the 2024-25 season by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Each winning athlete was chosen from academic and athletic sophomores or higher who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better across their entire collegiate careers, up to a maximum of five men and five women per school. Honorees were also required to place in the top 50 at this year’s NCAA regional cross country meet or achieved a top-50 regional ranking on a single track & field event, indoor or outdoor.

Alumna and 2024 Olympian Caisa-Marie Lindfors, who broke her own school discus record on her final collegiate throw at the NCAA Outdoor Championships earlier this month, was named CSC Academic All-District for the second straight year. She, along with fellow throwers Giavonna Meeks and Audrey Jacobs, hurdler Mari Testa and sprinter Johnny Goode, will be considered for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced July 15 (women) and 16 (men).
