NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Five Vanderbilt cross country and track and field student-athletes were named to the 2024-25 Cross Country/Track & Field Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators Tuesday.
To be recognized as Academic All-District, nominees must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards. Commodore honorees include Allyria McBride, Julia Rosenberg, Falon and Santana Spearman and Ellie Wolski.
McBride is a two-time All-American, who placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships. She is a two-time All-SEC selection, three-time regional qualifier and made the 400 hurdles semifinals at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. The junior environmental sociology major is a five-time school record holder and owns six marks ranking in the program’s all-time top 10. McBride was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team and USTFCCCA All-Academic in 2024 and has made two SEC Academic Honor Rolls in her time at Vandy.
Rosenberg graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish. She is a two-time regional qualifier and five-time school record holder. The eight-time SEC scorer was a second-team all-conference selection during the 2024 indoor season. She led the Commodore women at the SEC and NCAA South Region Cross Country Championships as a junior and senior, earning a 38th-place finish at regionals this past year. In 2024, she was named CSC Academic All-District and USTFCCCA All-Academic. She has also been recognized on six SEC Academic Honor Rolls.
A 2025 NCAA qualifier and school record holder in the 60- and 100-meter hurdles, F. Spearman earns recognition on her second Academic All-District Team. A junior, majoring in medicine, health, and society, she was also named USTFCCCA All-Academic and to the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll last year. F. Spearman is a two-time regional qualifier who ranks top 10 in program history in three events.
This season, S. Spearman improved to second on the school’s all-time performers list in the 100-meter hurdles. She is a two-time regional qualifier, holds the Vanderbilt record as a member of the shuttle hurdle relay and is top 10 in school history in the 60- and 100-meter hurdles. During her junior year, S. Spearman served as the SAAC social impact committee co-chair and was nominated for the Allstate NACDA Good Works Winter Team.
