Cal Cross Country Heading To Stanislaus State


Cal To Make First Appearance At Event

BERKELEY- California cross country is set for its second meet of the season at the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Stanislaus State. The Golden Bears will travel down to the River Oaks Golf Course in Turlock, with the men lining up at 8:30 p.m. PT, followed by the women’s race at 9 p.m. PT.  

 

This is the 16th anniversary of the Kim Duyst Invitational, and it will be the Bears’ first time competing in this event in program history. 

 

Cal is coming off the USF Invitational at Golden Gate Park, where both the men and women took third place, and Justin Petre won the individual title with a finishing time of 24:09.8, giving the Bears a men’s winner in the event for the second year in a row. On the women’s side, Addie Johnson was Cal’s top finisher, placing fourth with a time of 20:42.3. 

 

COMPETING TEAMS

Nevada, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Chico State, Saint Mary’s, Fresno State, UC Davis, Cal State Northridge, Cal State East Bay, and UC Santa Cruz.
