Terps With Three Top-25 Finishes at Spiked Shoe


STATE COLLEGE, PA – In their second race of the season, the Terps competed in the Harry Groves Spiked Invitational hosted by Penn State. The Terps saw three top-25 finishes led by Big Ten Runner to Watch, Rose Coats.

Coats crossed the line first for the Terps in second place out of 113 runners. She completed the 6k course with a time of 20:18.8

Eva Rogers placed 19th (21:28.2) followed by Katie Dutko (21.42.2) who finished 24th. The top five was rounded out by Alice Kredell (36th, 22:10.1) and Leonora Lynn (45th, 22:24.0).

Host school Penn State took the top spot in team finishes with a score of 19. Syracuse finished second with a score of 50, followed by Pittsburgh with a score of 108. Maryland finished just behind Pittsburgh, coming in fourth with a score of 109. The top-5 team scores were closed out by Buffalo with a score of 160.

 

Up Next: The Terps are back on Friday, October 3 when they travel to Bethlehem, PA for the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.
