Conversations with Larry: The 2025 USATF Indoor Championships Review

2025 Millrose Games (Conversations with Larry)

The Ocean Breeze Activity Center hosted the USATF Indoor Championships on February 22 and 23, 2025.

It was an extraordinary year.

Some of the veterans showed up, but many stayed away, as the 2025 season is very long, ending in September in Tokyo

at the World Outdoor Championships.

Some fantastic races, with Nikki Hiltz winning the double at 3,000 meters and the 1,500 meters. Hobbs Kessler won his first

title at the USATF Indoor, the 3,000 meters, and returned the next day to win the 1,500 meters.

A good crowd on Sunday and an okay crowd on Saturday.

In its wisdom, NBC blew off the Saturday events, much to the consternation of Grant Holloway. USATF also decided to use a new partner for digital coverage, which most did not know about, nor could they find a way to get on.

NBC did a nice job covering the Sunday event, but they continue to devalue our sport.
