Bailey Sets School Record in Commodore Debut

EUGENE, Ore. – Vanderbilt track and field graduate student Elizabeth Bailey broke the school record in the javelin Thursday at the 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Bailey recorded a top throw of 49.95 meters to place ninth overall. She surpassed the previous program record, which was held by Beatrice Juskeviciute at the 46.98-meter mark.

Before transferring to Vanderbilt, Bailey was a 2024 NCAA qualifier in the javelin at Charlotte, where she also held the school record.
