Cross Country Sweeps Dolan Duals to Open 2025 Season – Penn State

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Penn State men’s and #15 women’s cross country teams put together a strong showing to open the 2025 season, sweeping the annual Dolan Duals meet at Lock Haven Friday evening.

WOMEN’S 4K RACE

Sophomore Ada Rand led the 15th-ranked Penn State women’s squad through the finish line, clocking in at 14:06.9 to place second overall. Junior Claire Zubey (14.07.8) and senior Charlotte Costich (14:09.6) followed closely behind in third and fourth place overall. Senior Katie Dallas (14:13.0) and sophomore Eva Kynaston (14:14.3) rounded out Penn State’s strong team sweep.

MEN’S 6K RACE

The top five Nittany Lions all finished the 6K race under 18 minutes, led by senior Ryan Watson’s first-place time of 17:39.6. Junior Brian DiCola and freshman Isaac Oppermann finished second and third with respective times of 17:45.1 and 17:51.5. Freshman Jaxon Schoedel placed fourth at 17:56.8, while senior Caiden Leen rounded out the Nittany Lion top five with a mark of 17:59.6.
