This is Coffee with Larry for Monday, March 4, 2024. CWL is our almost daily podcast on all things track and field.
1. The World Indoors Glasgow was fantastic; it was a great three days for global track and field.
2. Ryan Crouser impressed with 4 throws that could have won 22.77m CR, giving him his first gold in WIC.
3. Tom Walsh took silver with 22.07m, and he is now the most medaled in WICs in shot put.

4. Christian Coleman and Noah Lyles lived up to the hype. Both ran their races; Coleman won in 6.41 and Lyles in 6.44.
5. Chase Jackson (nee Ealey) took the bronze in the women’s shot as Sarah Mitton threw 20.22m to take the gold!
6. Elle St. Pierre’s win in the women’s 3,000m was paradigm-changing. Congrats to Coach Mark Coogan.

7. Josh Kerr took gold in the 3,000m, as he suggested he would, in a topsy-turvy, challenging event. Yared Nuguse, US, took the silver with a run from behind! Congrats to Coaches Danny Mackey and Dathan Ritzenhein.

8. Sam Kendricks showed that Mondo Duplantis is human and had to wear his superstar gloves to get back into the pole vault. Mondo made the third attempt at 5.85m.
9. Tara Davis Woodhall took gold in 7.07m, Monae Nichols took silver in 6.85m, US went 1-2 in the long jump.
