After an exciting day of competition last Saturday at the CIAC State Open Championships and a few days before the New England championships on Saturday MySportsResults requires your help in recognizing our nominees for the top girls’ and boys track & field athletes from recent performances. In addition to the recognition each weekly award recipient will receive a commemorative t-shirt in appreciation of their performance.

We need your help in completing a quick poll of our picks of Girls and Boys nominees listed below in alphabetical order before Noon on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Girls HOKA AoW #10 Nominees

Track:

Samiya Eady, Manchester, Open 55m dash winner in PR of 7.09.

Bloomfield 4x400m of D’asia Duncan, Kiylah Williams, Soleigh Dixon, Jahniya Barclay won the Open race in 4:04.33.

Chase Gilbert, Lyme-Old Lyme, Open 1600m winner in State Record time of 4:44.68.

Field:

Saphyr Brown, Bloomfield, Open long jump defending champion placed 2nd with 17-07.25.

Jordan Carr, Joel Barlow, winner of Open pole vault at 11-6.

Jenna Luoma, Ellington, won Open high jump at 5-2, CT#2.

Boys HOKA AoW #10 Nominees

Track:

Thomas Conklin, Lyman Hall, Open 600m winner in PR of 1:21.26 and CT#1.

Davian Johnson, East Hartford, won Open 55m hurdles in PR 7.36, CT#1.

Shelton 4x200m of Cole Ostrosky, Angel Inthapanhya, Sebastian Matei, Niko Romano, Open 1st place in season best of 1:31.41, CT#3.

Field:

Zachary McKirryher, Seymour, Open pole vault winner at 14-6, shares CT#1.

Thomas Matlock, East Lyme, Open 2nd place in shot put at 61-4.75.

Ethan Rich, Lyman Hall, won Open high jump PR 6-8 and CT#1.
